![]() Have some one at work with that watch and it always catches my eye. There is a product called dial pads, sticky two sided blobs that can hold. With the dial removed, were there dial feet that have been snapped off, otherwise glueing the dial to the movement has been standard on some quartz watches. The Miyota movement is good news, heck, there may even be NOS movements at Jules Borel! Or find a working citizen with the same movement. ![]() Its hard to find tech info on this model.įirst thing is to disassemble as much as possible, all the electronics and clean. If there's anyone here with knowledge of this watch, id like to hear. An idea that came to my mind is that this is an official Heuer replacement for the original movement. On the other hand, the (copper) dial is loose, it was glued on the movement with makes me doubt it again. The plastic casing has the right openings at the right spots for this movement (for excample the push-plate for stem removal). You would say its not original, but its fitting perfectly in its plastic casing which was obviously made for this watch. ![]() There is one strange thing however the analog movement is a Citizen Mitoya 8520A. I still have to replace the LCD battery, so if it will work ill find out later. The watch is complete with all original parts, so it looks at first glance. The LCD display is looking fine (you were right, Geoff), and there was no battery leakage. As the analog part is still running im assuming both batteries were changed same time, which makes me hope the LCD battery hasnt started leaking yet (as its not that old.) We'll seeĮdit 2: Browsing the internet for information i stumbled across a picture of (what i think is) a similar movement (only different crown position) where i learned that both the lcd and analog movement are seperate movements with their own battery. Ill keep you updated, will arrive probably next week.Įdit: I noticed the pretty dark LCD display, and after reading a few of Diginut's techreviews on these Heuers (especially their poor consturction) i keep my fingers crossed. From the pictures, looking at the details id say its the real deal. Dial is not centered right, well see what that means (hope no parts are missing). analog part is running, digital part not (i hope for a near empty battery).
